UME国际影城董事长吴思远先生简介（中文）
香港著名导演及监制。曾经在七十年代导演了一系列武打功夫片，例如《荡寇滩》、《饿虎狂龙》、《南拳北腿》、《香港小教父》、《李小龙传奇》、《死亡塔》等，影片风靡了香港、东南亚，也造就了当时一批武打明星，例如陈星、梁小龙、黄元申、刘忠良及日籍演员仓田保昭、韩籍演员黄正利等。
一九七三年成立思远影业公司，除动作片外，又导演了新闻写实影片，开创了香港警匪写实片之先河，代表作有轰动一时的《廉政风暴》、《七百万元大劫案》，以及稍后的法庭影片由刘德华主演的《法外情》。
吴思远不断开创电影新潮流，将喜剧元素加入功夫片中，制作了由当时寂寂无名的成龙主演的《蛇形刁手》及《醉拳》，尤其是《醉拳》震惊中外影坛，电影圈掀起一片效仿之风，令功夫喜剧片潮流经历近二十年不衰，不朽名作《醉拳》更令成龙一夜成名红遍世界迄今。之后又大胆起用新导演徐克拍摄《蝴蝶》令人耳目一新，徐克随后导演或监制的影片，例如《笑傲江湖》、《倩女幽魂》、《东方不败》等，均对香港电影的发展潮流造成极深远的影响，现今徐克已是蜚声国际的大导演。
在拍摄港产片同时，亦在美国及其他地区投资制作了七部美国动作片，尤其是由元奎导演的《No Retreat, No Surrender》更捧红了Jean-Claude Van Damme,使他成为荷里活著名动作明星。
一部超级喜剧片《赌圣》将周星驰捧成天皇巨星，该影片在当时打破了香港票房纪录。
吴思远又是首位进入大陆拍摄影片，进军大陆市场的香港电影人，是大陆、香港、台湾三地导演研讨会的发起人，与中国大陆各电影制片厂、中国电影发行公司及中外影片合拍公司、电影局、广播电视电影部都有较好关系，及了解大陆电影市场的运作。在大陆合拍的影片有由林青霞、张曼玉、梁家辉主演的《新龙门客栈》，由张曼玉、王祖贤主演的《青蛇》，由李连杰主演的《黄飞鸿之狮王争霸》，梁家辉主演的《人约黄昏》及由张曼玉、邬君梅、杨紫琼主演的《宋家皇朝》，以上所有影片在大陆均创下极高票房纪录。

The most outspoken movie director and producer of all times in Asia
Who was at that time already a renowned director with a string of Box Office hitting behind him? In the year 1971, a film that has garnered critical acclaim has hit Hong Kong’s box office as the year’s top grossing film in Asia. This first time director has become a legend in Hong Kong ever since. A year later, he followed up with another film, which has brought his career skyrocketing to new heights and mark the turning point of this God of Hong Kong director and producer - NG SEE YUAN.
Hailed as Hong Kong’s most innovative filmmaker, Ng See Yuan’s break into the film business came as early as 1967. After years of hard work and effort, he swiftly got progressed as a full-fledged movie director and that’s when the magic began. His first directorial debut was conceived at age 26, the success of it has stabilized his career as a director and has marked a significant breakthrough in his life. BILLY BLANKS - becomes very popular in the States now after paying his leading role in Ng See Yuen’s movie ’The King of the Kickboxers’ in 1990. He is a very famouse aerobic instructor/actor in Los Angeles now.
ANDY LAU - after playing the leading role as a lawyer in the movie ’The Unwritten Law’ which Mr.Ng has directed himself in 1984, his acting has since then been recognized and is now one of the most popular actors/ singers throughout entire Asia.
COREY YUEN - a very successful director, as one of Seasonal Film’s production team, now is Jet Li’s person action choreographer. Has worked as action choreographer. Has worked as action choreographer for Hollywood movies ’X-men’,’Lethal Weapon 4’, ’Romeo must die’,’The One’ and ’Kiss of a Dragon’ etc.
YUEN WOO PING - a now very successful director and popular action choreographer in Hollywood. He is the action choregrapher for the movie ’Matrix’ and also for ’Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’. His action team has also participated in the movie ’Charlie’s Angels’.
TSUT HARK - a now very much in demand international director and one of Asia’s top directors. He has directed his first movie ’Butterfly Murders’ produced by Ng See Yuen, which was an access to his success of becoming a distinguished film director now. He has also directed Hollywood films such as ’Double Impact’.
Ng See Yuen has also worked with some of nowadays very favourite and popular international Asia movie superstars in some of his movies, such as Steven Chow in ’All for the winner’; ’The Soong Sisters’, with Michelle Yeoh and Maggie Cheung as the leading roles. He has also produced several series of Jet Li’s movies, Asia’s mega star. Ng See Yuen is a very original movie director, he has a unique style of his own and his appeal has no exact equivalent to another director. He believes in himself and is always full of confidence. Ng See Yuen is one of the most impportant individual in the movie industry in Hong Kong. Gifted with creativity, he was the pioneer of many trendy movie industry in Hong Kong.
